So I like to keep my online presence as anonymous as possible, but I can’t because my mom likes to take photos of me when we are doing something together for the whole internet to see. She would sometimes lie to me that she wont post it and she does. She often post everyday things about her(which is fine) , but when it includes me I get pissed off(ie. getting a A student certificate and then her posting that). I tried talking to her that I don’t want to be in her social media but she just shruggs me off. I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
