Hey nice people, I work as a graphic designer since forever because it’s pretty much what I know how to do (and because life happened, you know). I’m 29 yo and Ive had several blogs since I was 11, back and forth. Right now, the only social media I really use is Instagram. Thing is, I feel, even single day, almost every single second, this urge to create something… but Im not sure what. I really wish I could work creating content for Instagram/other medias, but I feel like I don’t really have anything of value to share. I love photography, I like to write, but, you know… I’m not particularly stylish or talented in pretty much anything (or at least that’s how I feel). I tried to profissionalize my Instagram profile, bought some courses, even paid a mentorship which wasn’t cheap… but the main point is not marketing strategies, but that I don’t know what I want to share. I just feel the strong urge to create. And it’s not like, I don’t know, something physical like crafts or illustration. I’m not sure what it is. I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
