I WISH this was a joke, but I’m a 12 year FB user with no negative history. I created an anti-Trump music video with no nudity, no profanity, no threats, no violence, and no misinformation. FB promptedd me to boost it dozens of times, so I finally accepted. I was then told that my ad account was disabled, and was unable to login. I have submitted VALID phone number, photo, ID, US street address, and answered security Q’s. Despite that, “review” was denied, profile deactivated, and musician page removed. The only logical explanation is that despite FB asking me repeatedly to boost post, they banned my ad account for “political advertising” without first jumping through the new hoops they have to verify home address, etc. You know… all those hoops that now exist BECAUSE of Trump’s misinformation and Russian bots which the song was exposing. ALL my info is legit, and there is ZERO misinformation on my profile. Name, schools, family relationships, EVERYTHING is exactly correct… and exact match for all the info I provided. I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
