I’ve been managing two social media accounts for my client for the past four months. This involves the account for their organization and their personal account. I wasn’t a social-media manager prior to this but I had taken classes and have a good grasp on the processes, I have been doing well and have been learning on the job. I studied art and design and am also on for graphic work. I do a lot of the visuals which tie into the visual curation of the accounts. This takes time and is my area of expertise. So aside from just the social media management and strategy, I curate and edit the images, and in addition to that, I also create content within Adobe programs such as newsletters, quote posts, among other small projects. I also write the copy for the posts. My client wants to cut back my pay as she’s running low and needs to funnel that into the organization’s success. To me, I’m taking that as cutting back on hours. I will not work the same hours for less. I was at 20 hours a week but will now tell her this means I will be cutting back to 15.
