Hội mua bán fanpage facebook — Both business and personal page.

I work for a web company and manage Facebook pages. This is something I’ve never seen before. A business I manage has both a personal page under their business name and an actual business page. They are linked. Our customer is complaining about this, which I totally understand. When people look up his business they get both page results and it’s confusing for them. A staff member of this business created a personal page for the business. Then, the person who previously had my job made a business page linked to the personal page with the same name! I told our client this shouldn’t have been done like this and they should have deleted the OG personal page and started a new business page. My suggestion to our client would be to change the name of the personal page to something similar. Both pages have regular content posted to them. What needs to happen is there needs to be only one Facebook page? Is this possible? I’be explained this to our client again and again the differences between the pages and that I can’t delete it. They don’t seem to get it and it’s frustrating for both of us. I’m not sure why the previous person in my position did this - they should have known better

I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
