Over the holidays, I noticed that Later is no longer directly linking to Instagram so we can edit images or text before posting. I’ve now had to schedule my posts within Later so that my information is ready, then when I’m ready to post at a set time, I have it done manually (copy and paste text beforehand), open Instagram separately then paste my text and add my image(s) and then edit inside IG. This seems to defeat the purpose of having your posts ready to be added at a certain time if you have to open Instagram separately. If I’m missing a step or update when using Later please let me know. It’s been a bit frustrating and I might as well set up my posts using the Notes app on the Apple platform. I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
