Hội mua bán fanpage facebook — Issues connecting FB Page to Instagram for paid...

I’m at my wits end and turning to you r/socialmedia. I am trying to connect my Facebook page to my Instagram account and for some reason I am encountering weird errors at every turn. I’ve had the IG for a while now and am long overdue to do a little self advertising, so of course I needed to set up a FB Business Page. So, I logged into my old FB account (reactivating it by doing so) and successfully created a page that matches my IG. Then I went into my IG settings and connected the (personal) FB account. Next, I went into my settings to connect the business page specifically. It appeared there, I selected it, hit done. But no matter what, it has been saying “An error occurred please try again later.” Okay, so let me try to sync them on Facebook’s end. I go into the FB settings and follow the steps but then get the message that “That account is already linked to a page.” I’m in this endless feedback loop and I just want to advertise my crappy art and services. Any help would be appreciated since FB’s help center is a library of non-answers. I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
