Hey guys! I wanted to ask your thoughts on this. I’m the account manager for a nonprofit humanitarian organization… and it has been one of the biggest challenges! It’s so easy to grow an account for something popular like fashion, skincare, etc. etc, which I have done, rapidly, in the past, so I know that my general knowledge and knack for strategy is effective. The tricky thing with a nonprofit is that certain strategies either don’t work, aren’t possible, or are way too time-consuming. It’s difficult to implement the ‘like/follow’ method which you can do quite rapidly for something like, again, fashion, because it doesn’t really matter if you like something 'wrong’, you just move on. With an organization such as the one that I’m working with, it’s really important that you don’t accidentally 'like’ or 'follow’ an account that doesn’t align with your morals. When doing this, I’ve had to vet every single post I come across, reviewing the account responsible for the post, making sure there isn’t a conflict of ethics, and learning about exactly what their organization is about.
