I work for a small “agency” within my school that helps Non-profits and Social enterprises with their online presence. Recently we’ve been working on a project where we’ll be releasing videos of interviews with Social Enterprises. We recently lost the main person who was editing all the footage as he is in full time Co-op and can’t keep up with the tasks. The editor is buddies with my boss and keeps delaying the launch date, leading my boss to have very little focus on the release date in favour of our old editor. My boss has requested I create a full content calendar/strategy/campaign for our interview project with no determined schedule for when we are launching or even what episode will be the first to air. Here’s where I’m really struggling, how can I create a full content calendar with no idea of the launch date or who’s interview will be uploaded first? Not having concrete dates for anything is really beginning to annoy me and I’m unsure how to handle the situation. Can I create a full campaign without knowing when things will be released? I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
