So, I do some of the social for the store I work for and do pretty well with $0 budget to work with. Last year, a friend of mine asked me to help him with his seasonal business on the social media front and we did very well together. The gentleman who owns the property this is housed on is the fun guy referenced above. He’s 82. He doesn’t own a computer. But he’s been the owner of this business for over 50 years and knows it very, very well. His product regularly wins awards at the state level. They are very good for what they are and he charges a bit for them because they are worth it. Sounds great, right? Well, here comes the fun! He doesn’t ever want me sharing pricing with anyone. Meanwhile, on our competitors websites/social media, there are verifiable menus as to what you can expect to pay… He personally garners me more bad reviews than the products can possibly ever do. He actively irritates long standing business customers to the point that they don’t want me to get some shots for our page. He is convinced that his competitors are actively sending people to his business to give him bad reviews… In short, the guys a bit of a character… Anyone ever have a guy like

I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
