Ok, so I posted on r/Instagram about this already, but maybe y’all can help me? So I am trying to win a giveaway (free wedding dress) from a bridal shop. To win, the shop posts your picture and your picture has to get the most likes, shares on stories, comments etc. so basically this has just become a “who can comment the most times on their post” competition. All of our family and friends have been spamming the post with comments, but, as a result, Instagram keeps banning us for commenting too many times. Touché, Instagram. Any advice on how to maximize our comments? How not to get blocked by Instagram for commenting so many times? How to maximize our likes/ shares? We are definitely in the running to win but we need a bit of a leg up to cut into first place before the deadline (Jan 8). I feel like I’ve tried everything from making multiple spam accounts, tagging celebrities, using popular hashtags, etc.! I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
