Hi all! I’m planning on creating a giant Twitter thread in January in a ‘Year In Review’ format with my company’s Twitter account. I put the idea past my boss in September and he okayed the idea as long as it’s vetted first, but it’s all good so far. I’ve all ready got the tweets on a word document and there will be around 200 tweets or so, but that will likely increase in the coming weeks. My question is; will I see enough engagement from creating the Twitter thread first and then sending it all at once, or is it best to live tweet the news items into the thread? If I live tweet the items, will they still appear on follower’s timelines despite them being technically 'reply’ tweets? I worked out that it will probably take about 90 minutes to live tweet or create the thread, so that’s 90 mins of consistent social media interaction (or longer if need be) if they actually appear on timelines. I dabbled with the idea of just sending the tweets separately, but part of the strategy is them being part of a thread encourages people to check out the rest of the tweets and follow along afterwards.
