Im a bit older (for reddit at least) and I really don’t know anything about snapchat. I have a snapchat that i barely use. I deleted my ex off snapchat and all social media 3 days post breakup. Deleted not blocked. We dont have any mutual friends on snap either However 5 days after the breakup (in my crazy state) i created a “fake” snapchat but was required to put in my phone #. I friended someone tangentially friends with my ex then unfriended them an hour later but didn’t block them. I then logged out and logged back into my real account. Two weeks passed and i got a snap from a friend and checked it out. While in there I decided to look up my alter ego and low and behold the snap name came up with my Real name on top! I assume it is because it recognizes me from my contacts (my phone number is under my name in my phone) Not a huge deal since the tangential friend I followed and then unfollowed doesn’t have my #. However what is the likelihood that when my ex went to click search and quick add comes up that my fake profile and my name would then come up?? I did the same to see if she was in my quick adds but she wasn’t. I guess im asking how screwed am I that this link

I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
