Hello! I just wanted to check if anybody else experienced the same issue I’m having. I run an Instagram account about skincare and it has grown steadily over the last year. However, I didn’t have enough time due to work/moving and have spent the last two months posting only once a week. Before this, I was pretty active and was posting maybe 4 times a week. I’ve noticed that the number of followers is dropping, and even the number of likes I was getting from people before (not bots, they’re actual people I’ve connected with through this profile) is nowhere near what I’m getting now (it’s much lower now). Also, some users will only see my post after I boost it. Is Instagram “punishing” business profiles for not posting regularly or am I doing something wrong? I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
