Hi there, r/socialmedia! I am a communications coordinator for a non-profit healthcare training organization. I run a Facebook group for healthcare providers that have taken at least one of my organization’s advanced courses. It’s a place for these healthcare providers to connect with each other and have clinical discussions through the lens of our training. It’s very niche. We have about 1500 members in the group now, and an exciting 78% engaged member rate (given how far organic reach has dropped for our public page, this has been really awesome to see). As I brainstorm ways to keep the group engaged and active, I figured I might as well ask the community themselves what they would like to see. Do they want to read articles we’ve written on clinical topics, read studies we’ve found, listen to our educators go “live” to talk about their topics of expertise, something else? There are lots of possibilities, but I want to hear from our community directly. My question is, what are best practices for posting in Facebook groups as an organization? Is it better to post as my company page or as me, u/blueskyredfilter, a lowly communications coordinator? (the members are mostly doctors,

I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
