I never write comments or make content there, but it is really depressing to see a user with a Patrick profile picture going “omg mice are cute how can you feed them to your snake?? DISLIKED!! And the comment has like 3K likes. What is wrong with this platform? That was just an example but it all goes along those lines. It is like 90% of users there are kids and teenagers. Every time I scroll through the comment section I see the dumbest comments having the biggest support from every other kid. I read a comments section about a lady who’s looking for a man and she’s discussing her financial standards like “I want a man with a great job and a successful life to financially l provide the family” and all the kids in the comments calling her a gold digger. I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
