Starting off I work in the restaurant industry and manage 9 accounts for FB and 3 Insta accounts (7 of one brand account, then 2 individual accounts for the others). I use scheduler for everything on facebook, but just post as I go on instagram. What I’m struggling to figure out is how early should i start promoting a specific night or event? One of the restaurants doubles as a venue just for local cover bands in the area Th-Sa. At the beginning of the month i create events for each night there is a band playing. When should I start posting for a certain night. Like for the band playing on Saturday I’ll make a post on like the Tuesday before hand, then another post that day. Do I post earlier to get people to think about it? Or just more frequently during the week leading up to that night? I’ve looked around online and can mostly only find optimal times of day to post, so maybe I’m searching the wrong thing. I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
