To make the long story short, I used to be obsessed with FB, but then started to be more and more inactive till 2014. I then for few times hears about the privacy issue Facebook has and the complain people make and finally decided to shut down my account completely. I am pretty sure that I used the correct procedure and in fact when I finished, I was asked if I wanted to download all the info they had on me. I also got few emails to come backs, but that’s it. Fast forward to today, my mum asked me to help her with FB, I access another family member profile to add friend request and out of curiosity, I also check their friend list. There I find my account, with both name and surname, but no profile picture. I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
