Most pages on social media nowadays just ridicule and humiliate almost anyone and everyone. I logged out of Facebook months ago and only post occasionally. It was disheartening to see people laughing at and making fun of a homeless man who just “looked strange” yet I checked the reactions on one post and even of the 120 reactions, literally 105 of them were laughs (haha) and I thought What the fuck. It be even more “hilarious” if that homeless man on the street happened to be your dad, brother, son or closest childhood friend etc. I found that people who thrive to get a rise out of people online are of the clearly of the lower intelligence class and I do not need to be a part of that nor feel offened when strangers online make efforts and attempts to ridicule and humiliate others for pleasure. Now if I do post to Facebook it is in specific groups and the higher class citizens actually really appreciate it. If I post a historical picture of my hometowns (Port Colborne, Ontario. Canada 🇨🇦.) historical features in our marine culture or canal history that is generally far more popular then some asshole videotaping on their phone of some random homeless person in public then post

I have a dilemma I can’t wrap my head around and want some advice. I have a personal Instagram. Let’s call it JonDoe. It goes with my personal twitter/twitch/youtube. On it, I have mixed personal content and brand content as a streamer/youtuber. It’s all growing very well, and I have over 1k on insta, growing daily, but I want to rebrand my JonDoe account to my streamer brand, lets call it SillyGamerStuff and start posting more funny / on-brand content. I figured I’d just start a second account for JonDoe’s personal stuff, for family, friends, girlfriend, etc and run with the momentum on my main account, now named SillyGamerStuff (don’t eff with momentum, right?) My only hangup, is that I would basically lose all my personal history on my JonDoe -> now SillyGamerStuff. “lose” as in, all my personal stuff from before I started this online personality, from about 2 years back, so 5 years or so of history, would be buried under all the brand content.
